I can't even remember what the last day at my old job was like. I think my last day was a Saturday shift at the big metro paper. Saturdays were actually kind of easy because I was the only one there until an editor rolled in around 4 p.m. I'm pretty sure I screwed around all day, listened to the police scanner and hoped nobody died in during the course of foul play which would have required me to do some reporting.
But I do think that the last time I walked out the door, I uttered the phrase "See you later McNeese State!"
